Welcome to the Year 9 Options Page
Students at The High School Leckhampton choose their GCSE option subjects in the Spring Term of Year 9. For the current Year 9 students the process will begin on 29th January 2025, where they will receive an assembly outlining details of the process.
We would like to invite parents and students to an options/parents evening on Wednesday 29th January, from 6pm - 8pm.
This event will take place in the school's Main Hall and there will be:
- A 30 minute options presentation in the School hall delivered by Mr C. Newman
- Subject stands in the Drama Studio, the Cafeteria and the School Hall where parents and students can discuss with teachers the GCSEs that are being offered.
Where possible we would ask that students are accompanied by parents or carers.
The deadline for the online submission of Option Forms is Friday 28th February 2025.
Some A-level subjects have a minimum grade requirement from GCSE while some subjects do not have to have been studied at GCSE (such as Psychology). As an example, please refer to the Sixth form pages for Balcarras School for more information.
