World Book Day
Happy World Book Day 2025! The theme for this year is 'Read Your Way'. We are encouraging students to read for pleasure, whether that be comics, newspapers, magazines, novels, fiction or non-fiction. Tutors have selected a book they enjoyed during their teenage years and have shared extracts with their tutor group. Year 7 students have enjoyed a session in the library, exploring the 4000 plus books on our shelves through fun games and learning essential library skills.
Last week, Year 9 students had an author workshop with Lauren James and considered how climate change impacts literature. Year 7 and 8 students will receive a World Book Day token today. They can exchange it for a World Book Day book or use it as a £1 voucher towards a book purchase of their choice in participating stores. On Friday lunchtime, there will be fun and interactive activities in the library. All students are welcome
